Choosing the right size is essential for your child's comfort and the proper growth of their feet. Follow these simple steps:

1. Measure the Foot Accurately

The measurement to consider is always the internal length of the shoe. Since it's difficult to measure the exact interior, the best practice is to measure the child's foot from the tip of the big toe to the heel.

  • Have the child stand on a piece of paper, placing their heel against a wall.
  • Mark the longest point (usually the big toe).
  • Measure the distance from the mark to the wall.

2. Add Space for Growth and Movement

It is crucial to have some free space inside the shoe. We recommend staying slightly generous compared to the foot measurement (generally, you should add 0.5−1 cm or 0.2−0.54 inches).

  • This space is necessary to allow the foot to move and grow without compression.

3. Solution for Slightly Large Shoes: Absorbent Cotton (Wadding)

If the shoe is only slightly abundant when worn, you can use a little trick:

  • Gently insert a small amount of absorbent cotton (wadding) into the toe area of the shoe.
  • This will fill the excess space, preventing the foot from sliding forward, but without compressing the toes.
  • As the foot grows, you can simply remove the cotton, extending the use of the shoe.

Remember: Comfort is the priority. Your child should always be able to move their toes freely.
