Vintage Haute Couture Christening Dress - Unique Piece
Regular price €448.00
Tax included.
This is a unique-piece vintage baptismal dress that embodies the delicacy and craftsmanship of times gone by. It is a true work of textile art, entirely handmade.
The dress is embroidered with a stunning example of Broderie Anglaise, enriched with geometric elements. The eyelets were created by piercing the fabric, each one surrounded by raised French knots that form a decorative sunburst effect. The zigzag pattern connecting the circles evokes a geometric running stitch or coral stitch.
- The dress is crafted from cotton satin, giving it a soft drape and luxurious sheen;
- The design is traditional: the bodice opens into a full, flowing skirt that falls gracefully to the feet;
- The color is a refined deep cream: a warm and sophisticated hue that adds a touch of retro elegance and preciousness to the garment;
- Matching Bonnet, entirely embroidered, included;
- The focal point of the dress is the hand-crafted embroidery decoration on the sleeves, the edges of the dress and the bonnet;
- Round collar;
- Mother-of-pearl little buttons for the back closure;
- Long puff sleeves with gathered cuffs.
The garment's age adds an intrinsic charm: it's not only beautiful, but also steeped in history, perfect for a ceremony that demands elegance and tradition.
